At the June 17, 2024 Town Board meeting, a representative of the Dane County Office of Energy and Climate Change presented clean energy funding opportunities available to the Town via the Inflation Reduction Act.  While most of the funding is through tax credits, there are also provisions to allow tax-exempt entities to claim direct payment of the credits, which are 30% for solar, wind, battery storage and geothermal projects.  This means that individuals, businesses, non-profits and local governments can all benefit!  For more information, please see https://daneclimateaction.org/what-you-can-do/federal-funding, and lets claim our fair share of these credits here in the Town of Cottage Grove!
