A Town property owner recently brought to our attention an email she received from the “Cottage Grove Revenue Department” indicating her property taxes were delinquent.  It included her name, address, an amount due, and warnings about penalties and legal actions if not paid.  Luckily she checked with us and we were able to confirm that her taxes are paid in full.

Please be suspicious of emails such as these, and always check with us or the appropriate authorities before paying any claims of amounts due!
