The Initial Appearance dates are normally scheduled on the second Wednesday of each month.  The scheduled time for appearances by telephone or videoconference are 6:00 PM. In person appearances at the town hall are scheduled for 7:00 pm.  There can be exceptions due to holidays and court conflicts. The date which appears on the citation or ticket is the date on which the court appearance is scheduled. If you fail to appear on that date without first obtaining a continuance (reschedule) or submit your plea form by the Initial Appearance court date you will be found in default.
