We recently had a resident ask what to do with paper shreds, and we wanted to share this helpful information with all residents.
Waste Management asks that you take shredded paper to their Madison Recycling Center located at 2200 Fish Hatchery Road. Paper shreds are not allowed in your regular recycling, as they otherwise will get mixed in and stuck to everything in the truck, possibly contaminating the other recycling as well. Paper shreds need to be separated and recycled by themself.
Another option is to use paper shreds for compost or ask around as many people like them for animal bedding.
