Reminder to return your absentee ballot

All absentee ballots must be received by 8:00 P.M. on election day (Tuesday, February 17, 2026).  Unless you are a voter with a disability*, you must return your own ballot.

There are 3 ways to return your Absentee Ballot:

  • By Mail.  We recommend allowing at least a week for mail delivery.  Even mail sent from the local post office does not usually arrive here the next day.  And also keep in mind that there will be no mail service on Monday, February 16th (President's Day).
  • Deliver your ballot to the Clerk's Office at 4058 County Road N between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, or deposit it in the secure ballot box in the Town Hall parking lot any time.
  • Drop your ballot off at the polling place on Election Day by 8:00 P.M.

*Voters with disabilities have the right to assistance in returning an absentee ballot.  The voter's assistant be be anyone who is not the voter's employer, and agent of the employer, a regresentative of their labor union, or a candidate on the ballot.  The selected person may mail the ballot, or deliver it to the Clerk's office or polling place.
