Our Deputies have alerted us to recent vehicle break ins around neighboring communities, and we wanted to make residents aware of this so you take preventative measures with your vehicles.
Vehicle Break In Prevention Tips:
- Park inside a garage whenever possible
- If parking outside, park in well lit areas
- Close and lock all windows and doors
- Keep garage doors closed
- Do not leave keys in vehicles
- Do not leave vehicles running, even just to run inside quickly
- Make sure that valuables are not visible inside a vehicle
- Take your garage door opener with you if parking outside, and/or make sure interior doors to a home are locked
