Deputy Joshua Miranda has been selected to fill the contract deputy position in the Town of Cottage Grove. This will fill the recently vacated 2nd shift position in that policing contract.
Joshua was sworn in as a Dane County Deputy Sheriff on November 30, 2020 and has worked on 2nd shift in Security Services, 2nd shift Task Force, and most recently on 2nd shift Patrol out of the Northeast Precinct.
Prior to coming to the Sheriff’s Office, Joshua earned an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from Purdue Global University. He also served in the United States Army Reserves as a Combat Medic and continued to serve our country after becoming a Dane County Deputy.
Officials from the Town of Cottage Grove were extremely pleased with the high caliber of candidates that applied to fill this contract position. Deputy Miranda was selected from a very qualified and well prepared group of candidates.
